Sammelbezeichnung für viele (glitzernde) Schichtsilikate: Glimmer-Minerale kann man mit dem bloßen Auge oft gut in Granitsteinen erkennen. Eine dunkle Glimmerart heißt Biotit, heller Glimmer ist oft Muskovit. Glimmer erscheint gerne in gut erkennbarer Blätterteig-Struktur. Wahrscheinlich schirm Glimmer gut UV-Strahlung ab^[1]. Glimmer kommt immer gut sichtbar vor in Granit ↗
