- Joseph Kittinger springt aus 31.300 m aus seinem Ballon: mit jeder Sekunde wird er um etwa 10 m/s schneller: nach 20 Sekunden wäre die theoretische Geschwindigkeit bereits 200 m/s oder rund 720 km/h.
- Er stellt dabei einen neuen Weltrekord auf.
