Anteilswert

In a school context of maths the German word "Anteilswert" is sometimes found to set it off against the word "Anteil". "Anteil" can cover all meanings, "Anteilswert" has a more limited meaning.
"Anteil" usually means a fraction, part or share of something larger. For example, if there are 4 children and 3 of them wear glasses, the "Anteil" of children with glasses could either be expressed as simply 3 or as three quarters (three fourth).
Both ways in the example above are covered by the meaning of "Anteil". If I want to limit the possible answers to the absolute number (here 3) alone, I should use the word "Anteilswert". "Wert" here means: in absolute numbers or units.
