Ein Hydrogeologie nutzt ein Gravimeter um unterirdisch fließendes Grundwasser zu erkennen. Gravimeter messen die Schwerkraft an einem bestimmten Ort. Die Geräte sind heute so exakt, dass selbst Wasser in kleinen Entfernungen einen Einfluss hat.
