Alan Turing im Alter von 16 Jahren: in dieser Zeit las Turing zum ersten Mal über Einsteins Relativitätstheorie. Er habe daraus eigenständig korrekte Schlüsse gezogen, die im Buch selbst nicht dargelegt waren. Turings Begabung und Hingabe fielen schon früh in seiner Schulzeit auf.
