Accleration
Acceleration in physics means: any change of speed (velocity). If something is getting faster you can also say that it accelerates. If something is slowing down you can say that is has a negative acceleration. For something slowing down you could also say that it decelerates. Both accleration and deceleration are often measured in m/s² or ft/s².
